Privacy Policy
Last updated . This policy explains what foundationcrackpit.com collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
foundationcrackpit.com is operated by BFR / Basement Foundation Repair (“BFR”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers this website and the enquiries submitted through it. It does not cover any third-party website you may reach by following a link from here.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us. In practice that means:
- Contact and enquiry details — your name, email address, phone number, service you’re asking about, and message, when you use the form on our contact page, call, or email us.
- Property and inspection details — information you share about a crack, leak, or foundation issue so we can prepare for or carry out an inspection or estimate.
- Correspondence — the content of calls, emails, and any follow-up exchange, kept so we can respond and keep a record of the request.
We do not ask for, and this website has no facility to take, payment card details or other financial account information. Please do not send them to us through the contact form.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically receive limited technical information when a page loads: IP address, general region, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of the visit. This information is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to keep it secure; we do not use it to identify an individual visitor.
How We Use Information
- To respond to enquiries, schedule inspections, and prepare estimates
- To carry out the foundation, waterproofing, or masonry work you request
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages readers find useful
- To meet legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies: a strictly necessary cookie that remembers your cookie-banner choice, and, only if you accept non-essential cookies, an analytics cookie that helps us understand which pages are read. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit, and you can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.
Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of providers to run this site and our business, including web hosting, email, and analytics providers. These providers are permitted to use information only to provide their service to us. Our website also embeds a Google Maps view of our location; loading that map may cause your browser to contact Google directly, subject to Google’s own privacy practices.
Data Retention
Enquiry and job-related correspondence is kept for as long as needed to complete and support the work requested, and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping and warranty purposes, unless a longer period is legally required. Server logs are kept for a short operational period. Aggregate analytics that cannot identify an individual may be retained indefinitely.
Data Security
The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and access to correspondence and job records is limited to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we take these steps seriously we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information through the contact form.
Children’s Privacy
This website is intended for adults arranging home repair services. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, subject to exceptions the law allows (for example, where we must retain a record of completed work or a warranty). You may also opt out of non-essential cookies at any time using the banner or your browser settings. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
How to Submit a Privacy Request
Send your request by email to [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request”, call 416-288-0547, or write to BFR / Basement Foundation Repair, 1344 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4J 1M9. Please tell us which right you are exercising and include enough information for us to locate the relevant records. We aim to acknowledge requests promptly and respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to This Policy
We update this policy when our practices or our providers change. Updates are published on this page with a revised date at the top.
